Scott Urias Marini, 79, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully on April 6, surrounded by family and loved ones. Scott grew up in Mindoro, Wisconsin. Scott served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, receiving many commendations including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He later worked for and retired from Chrysler Corporation. Scott’s hobbies included riding horses and Harley’s, the Green Bay Packers, deer hunting, traveling, cribbage and euchre and most importantly, family time.

Scott is survived by his son Scott Joseph Marini (Scottie),granddaughter Alexis Marini, sisters Virginia Simplot, Judie Marini, Jackie Johnson, brothers Rex Gamroth, Dan Marini, Kelly Johnson and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Scott is preceded by his sister Jane Lockington, brothers Lyle Gamroth, Wayne Gamroth, Michael Marini, his parents Clarabell Johnson and Joseph Urias. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Scottie has requested a celebration of life be held in Scott’s honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We will have a small service held at Farmington Cemetery on May 4 at 1:00, Military honors at 1:30, followed by lunch at Melrose American Legion.
