Corinne “Cookie” Margaret Hanson (Lee), 80 of Strum, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on October
17th at Care Partners in Altoona WI. 
Corinne was born in Sterling, IL on March 15, 1943, the daughter of Sidney and Loretta (Hoepner) Lee.
She met her one true love, Gerard “Gary” Hanson at a Rhythm Playboys dance at the Osseo Village Hall
on February 23, 1963, and they were together ever since.
 
On August 08, 1964, Corinne married Gary at Zion Lutheran Church in Cleghorn, WI. Corinne was a
secretary at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strum for many years.
They went on to have three children.
 
Corinne enjoyed dancing, archery, listening to Elvis music, and spending time with her much loved
grandchildren. Her grandchildren are forever grateful for the memories they have with their “Grandma
Beetle/Grandma Swing set”.
 
Corinne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Gerard Hanson,
her sibling, Robert (Carolyn) Lee, her children, Cindy (Travis) Wenzel and Paula Hanson, her
grandchildren, Sydney, Sam and Jacob and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
 
Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Loretta Lee, and her daughter, Melissa
DeGolier.
 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 24th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 109 Elm St. Strum,
WI with Pastor Paul Tobiason officiating. Visitation at the church will be at 10 AM with the funeral at 11
AM followed by burial at St. Paul Cemetery in Strum.  There will be a luncheon at the church following
the service.
 
The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice as well as the caregivers at Care Partners for their help
and support of our loved one. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
