The Dodgeville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 53-year-old Jose Luis Claudio-Pedraza, a Hispanic male described as 5-foot-7, approximately 170 pounds, with brown eyes, black short hair, and possible facial hair.
Jose was last seen March 16th, 2026, in Avoca, Wisconsin, after dropping off his children with their biological mother. He recently lived in Dodgeville and is known to frequent Dane County.
Authorities say Jose sent a text message on March 30th stating he was “in a bad place,” and has not been seen or heard from since despite repeated attempts to contact him. Investigators are concerned for his welfare and say he is known to use drugs and may have overdosed.
Jose may be driving a tan Chevy Cobalt with a possible license plate of AXV6522, although authorities note the vehicle may have been junked.
