Glen Paul Grosskreutz, son of the late Leo Grosskreutz and Mildred (Riggins) Grosskreutz, was born September 10, 1951 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. He entered into the presence of Jesus on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in the Mercy Hospital of Springfield, Missouri having attained the age of 71 years. As a young boy, Glen grew up in Black River Falls where he graduated from high school. He went on to further his education and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and a Masters in Business Administration from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. Glen entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully as a lab technician until his honorable discharge. At the time of his discharge, he was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he decided to remain and began working as a chemistry supervisor at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. He subsequently served as a Management Consulting Professional for the Directorate of Resource Management and retired with 35 years of cumulative service. After being transferred to Fort Leonard Wood, Glen met a young lady by the name of Annelle Rae Thorpe. They began dating and they were united in marriage on August 14, 1983 in Crocker, Missouri. Glen and Annelle were blessed with three children: Jennifer, Alyssa, and Adam and shared over 39 years of marriage together. In his spare time, Glen enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to hunt, play golf, and work in the garden. He coached basketball when his son was playing and enjoyed coaching all the kids that came through his program. Glen was very community minded and served on the board of Infuze Credit Union and for five years served on the Crocker Water Board. Glen had made a profession of faith and was a member of the Waypoint United Methodist Church of Waynesville for 30 years. He was willing to help wherever he was needed. Glen will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Annelle Grosskreutz of the home; three children: Jennifer Thorpe of Harrisburg, MO, Alyssa Seburn (Ted) of Livermore, CA, and Adam Grosskreutz of Lexington, KY; two grandchildren: Madeline and Jessica Seburn; one sister: Lynne Bruley of Madison, WS; one brother: Lee Grosskreutz (Rose) of La Crosse, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
