The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association has released its April 2025 Real Estate Report, showing a continued drop in home sales across the state.

Home sales fell 10.4% compared to April of last year—marking the second straight month of significant decline. However, year-to-date sales were down just 3.5%, thanks to stronger numbers in January and February.

Despite fewer sales, median home prices continued to rise. Meanwhile, housing inventory improved slightly, up 5.9%, reaching a 3.6-month supply. Still, that’s well below the six months needed for a balanced market.

Inventory trends varied by region:

Metro counties saw little change,

Micropolitan counties saw some gains,

Rural counties now have a five-month supply.

More details are available in the full report from the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association.
