Authorities have concluded an investigation into a reported threat at Greenwood Elementary School on February 13. Law enforcement, including the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, determined there was no physical threat to students or staff.

The incident stemmed from a student’s previous comments about having a bomb, which were later admitted as a joke. No reports were made to teachers before law enforcement responded. Officials confirm there was no intent to harm, and the student is not considered a threat.

While the situation was alarming, authorities emphasize that the response was appropriate for any similar report. The Greenwood Police Department thanks law enforcement partners, the community, and the school district for their cooperation. Ensuring public safety remains their top priority.
