Update: The Passenger in the 2009 Toyota Van involved in Sunday’s I94 motor vehicle accident has now been identified. She has been identified as 47 year old Chicago native, Elivira Palomec.
On 6/18/23 at approximately 6:22pm, the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Jackson County Sheriffs
Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 westbound near mile marker 121 in
Jackson County. The driver and two passengers from one of the vehicles involved in the crash were
transported to Black River Falls Memorial Hospital. At the hospital one of the passengers from the
vehicle succumbed to her injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State
Patrol.
