Krohn Clinic and Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH) have
officially joined and created Black River Health (BRH), effective today, December 30, 2024.
This exciting new partnership promises to usher in a new era of healthcare to
Jackson County and surrounding communities.
“Black River Health promises to continue delivering exceptional, patient-centered care
as we work together to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community,” said Dr.
Michelle Clark-Forsting, Chief Physician Executive of Black River Health, “This partnership
represents our shared vision for a healthier future.”
The decision to combine comes in response to growing health challenges with Jackson
County faring worse than the average county in Wisconsin for health outcomes. Black
River Health is committed to addressing these issues by ensuring that healthcare
remains local, high-quality, and comprehensive.
The new logo represents and reflects both the natural surroundings of the communities
Black River Health serves, as well as the people in it. The icon captures the essence of
our vibrant environment, with flowing lines symbolizing the river, trails, and waterfalls, as
well as the seamless connection between the two organizations. It represents unity
within our health system.

The color palette blends the familiar blues of both organizations, with the addition of a
bright yellow that was evolved from Krohn Clinic’s gold color to signify a fresh, forward-
looking vision. The word “Health” stands out in a different color to emphasize our core
mission and to set us apart as a distinct and dedicated healthcare provider for our
community.
We are excited to introduce this new symbol of our partnership,” said Carl Selvick, CEO
of Black River Health. “It encompasses the rich history of our organizations and
communities while serving as a visual representation of our shared vision towards
building a healthier future, together.”
Both organizations will retain their names and identity, they will simply operate under the
Black River Health umbrella. The new logo will be gradually rolled out over the course of 2025.
