Farmers and custom manure applicators have an opportunity to sharpen their skills and learn best practices for manure application. UW-Extension Clark County is hosting a Custom Manure Hauler 101 training session this Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:30 at the Abbotsford City Hall. Custom Manure Hauler 101 will cover environmentally sound manure application guidelines and include interactive mapping and application activities to improve safety. Jerry Clark, a Crops and Soils Educator, says business owners and employees who complete the training may qualify for reduced insurance premiums. There’s no cost to attend.
