Marjorie J. (Johnson) Anderson, 93, of Black River Falls, passed away under the care of St.
Croix Hospice at Grand View Care Center, Blair, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

She was born on October 18, 1929, in Melrose, WI to Fred and Beatrice (Jennings) Johnson. She
attended grade school in Melrose and graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1947.
She married Mahlon Anderson on October 29, 1949, in Melrose, WI.

The couple farmed on the family farm near Melrose before moving to Vosse Coulee near Blair
where they farmed for many years. They moved to Black River Falls in 1981. Over the years,
Marge enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, playing cards, word puzzles and most of all,
spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Taylor Lutheran Church. Marge
was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Survivors include son, David (Becky) Dalzell, St. Paul, MN; daughters, Camille (Art) Home of
Black River Falls, Lois Butters of Independence, IA, and Sidney (Roddy) McDougall of Ettrick;
10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and several great- great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mahlon, one brother, Robert, 2 son- in- laws,
Donald McDougall and Ron Butters, and special friend, Harold Iverson.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Torgerson’s Funeral Home (408 N. Water St.,
Black River Falls, WI) on Friday, September 8, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a prayer service at
1 p.m. followed by internment at Little Norway Cemetery.
