The Melrose-Mindoro Area School District has chosen its next leader. Deanna Wiatt will assume the Superintendent role starting July 1st. According to Board of Education President Rick Paisley, the board’s search included a rigorous application process, which included an open forum interview with staff members, parents, students, and community members, as well as interviews with the administrative team and the Board of Education. Wiatt has 30 years experience in education as a teacher and Instructional Coach in the School District of La Crosse, as the middle school associate principal in Onalaska, and most recently as the Director of Instruction for the School District of West Salem. Wiatt will replace retiring Superintendent Jeff Arzt who announced his intention to step-down earlier this year.
