Wisconsin health officials are reporting an increase in measles cases in southwest Wisconsin. As of Friday, 41 confirmed and seven probable cases have been identified in Grant, Iowa and Lafayette counties. Iowa County has 35 confirmed cases, while Lafayette County has four confirmed and seven probable cases. Grant County has two confirmed cases. No public exposures have been reported. Health officials say the M-M-R vaccine is the best protection against measles and encourage residents to check their vaccination status with the Wisconsin Immunization Registry, local health department, or health care provider.
