The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is tracking an E. coli outbreak linked to alfalfa sprouts. D-H-S says 17 people in Wisconsin have become sick, with one person hospitalized, after eating sprouts sold under the Calco and Everything Sprouts brands. Minnesota has reported another 23 cases. Health officials say anyone who bought sprouts from either brand should throw them away immediately. Anyone who has eaten them should contact a healthcare provider if they develop symptoms or are concerned about possible E. coli infection.
