A fatal crash on Interstate 94 in Jackson County is under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Authorities say the two-vehicle crash happened around 10:45 Monday night on westbound I-94 near Warrens at milepost 129.

Preliminary reports indicate a 2018 Kia Optima rear-ended a 2017 GMC Sierra. Both vehicles then left the roadway and rolled several times.

The 21-year-old woman driving the Kia suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The 68-year-old man driving the GMC died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Black River Falls Fire and EMS, Warrens Fire and First Responders, Tomah EMS, and Life Link Air.

The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
