On Saturday, March 2, 2024, at approximately 11:33 PM, Jackson County Deputies responded to
a traffic crash at the Ho-Chunk Casino and Hotel located at W9010 State Highway 54, in the
Town of Brockway, in Jackson County, Wisconsin.
Deputies identified one of the drivers as Gerald W. Cloud Jr., 44 years old, from Black River
Falls, WI. While deputies were conducting the crash investigation, they noticed Cloud’s speech
was slurred and he smelled of the odor of intoxicants. Cloud confirmed that he had been drinking
but refused to complete Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. Cloud was found to have had seven
prior OWI’s, and his driving status was revoked.
Cloud was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 8th Offense and Operating
After Revocation, and he was placed on a Probation Hold by the Department of Corrections.
