The Third Annual Pollinator Party will take place Sunday June 23rd from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Justin Trails Resort 8 miles South of Sparta.
The event is free and open to all ages. Birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants are responsible for bringing us 1 out of every 3 bites of food.
During this event, we will hear from experts Skye Bruce and Jess Gambel who will talk about how we can help pollinators and have the opportunity to ask questions.
Meanwhile, kiddos will be in The Lodge and outside for pollinator-related activities, arts & crafts and author Missy Davey will read from her children’s book “Rusty Bumble: A Bee’s Story.”
We will all head out on a plant/insect walk.
Participants will also receive care packages from Prairie Moon Nursery which include native seed packets, native plant-insect interaction guides, seed starting basics brochures, and information about cultivars explaining why it’s important for pollinators to “go native.”
