Roland “Rollie” Symicek Age 92 of The Villages, FL passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2025. Born on June 12, 1933 in Independence, WI to Rose (Pierzina) and Joseph Symicek. He married Janice (Sonsalla) of Arcadia, WI on August 5, 1961. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus. He was a manager in Finance and Accounting for the Milwaukee Road and Soo Line Railroads. He and Jan retired to The Villages, FL in 1996. Music was a big part of his life, playing in polka bands, swing bands, and community bands. He played with Ernie Reck and his Country Playboys for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marcel and Clarence. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jan, son Greg (Paula), daughter Kristin Thayer, grandchildren Aaron (Anne) Seehusen, Adrianna Symicek, and Ian Thayer, and great grandsons Gordon and Owen Seehusen.
