Skyline Friends will hold its Annual Meeting this Sunday, April 21 at Skyline. The
meeting will begin with a Social Hour at 5:00 P. M. followed by a Business
Meeting at 6:00 P. M. Appetizers for the Social Hour will be provided by Skyline.
Skyline Friends was formed in 2007 by a group of local leaders who wanted to
have a way to support Skyline whether on not they were golfers. They are led
by a Board of Directors of nine members elected by the Skyline Friends
membership. Their charge is to support the Skyline Clubhouse and they have
done so by contributing over $117,000 for a variety of clubhouse needs. This
past year they purchased new bars stools, tables for the Banquet Hall, a second
Broaster, a sofa and chairs for the Stai Patio, Christmas decorations and they
paid $2500 of past debts. Over the past seventeen years they literally have
purchased almost everything from the ceiling to the floors and most of
everything in between.
Special guests at the Annual Meeting will be Derek Ahl, President of the Skyline
Board, and Dennis Young, Skyline’s Treasurer. They will be sharing future plans
for Skyline and its financial position.
The Business Meeting will include reports from the chairs of several committees
including Finance, Membership and Social Media. The meeting will also include
the election of three members to the Skyline Friends Board and the confirmation
of board members serving partial terms.
