Steven Allen Wagner, “Mr. Green Jeans”,  passed away peacefully on October 10, 2023, at his home in
Alma Center, Wisconsin. Born on July 27, 1957, in Bury St. Edmunds, England, to Donald and Gwendoline
Wagner, Steven began a life  marked by his love for nature, his artistic flair, and his warm, personable
nature.
Steven was a gifted hairdresser and stylist, known for his creativity and attention to detail. He brought
joy and style to countless individuals, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His work took
him to many places, but he found a particular fondness for Yosemite National Park, where he worked in
retail management. The natural beauty of the park inspired Steven’s love for photography, and he
captured the beauty of the world around him with a keen eye and a deep appreciation for the natural
world.
Beyond his professional life, Steven had a wide range of interests that reflected his vibrant personality.
He was an avid movie lover and had a special place in his heart for Broadway musical hits. His love for
the arts was only matched by his love for gardening. Steven had a green thumb, and his gardens were a
testament to his patience, care, and creativity. His green eyes sparkled with joy when he was tending to
his plants or sharing his love for gardening with others.
Steven’s personable nature made him a friend to all. He had a way of making everyone feel special and
valued.  His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy will continue to
inspire those who were touched by his life.
Steven was a beloved member of his family. He is survived by his brothers, Dale (Judy) Wagner and
Duane Wagner; his sister, Brenda Reynolds; his nieces, Shannon (Chad) Smith and Erin Reynolds; and his
nephew, Kyle (Jamie) Wagner. He was a cherished uncle to his great-nephews, Mason, Grant, and Evan.
He also leaves behind his aunts, Karen Alexander and Ruthie Jahn, along with numerous cousins,
relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and many aunts
and uncles.
