Steven Randy Cogdill, age 72, of Melrose, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on
August 6, 2026.
Steven was born on June 5, 1954, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Duane Cogdill and
Geraldine Halverson. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and
later worked as a member of Boilermakers Local 107.
Steven was a longtime member of the Melrose Rod and Gun Club, where he enjoyed
the camaraderie and friendships that came with being part of the club. He will be
remembered by those who knew him for his kindness and willingness to share his time
with friends he made throughout his life.
He is survived by his brother, Gary (Betty) Cogdill; his nephew, Kenny (Emalea) Cogdill
and their children, Cael, Adelyn and Brynn. Steven was preceded in death by his
parents and niece Christina (Cogdill) Skiba.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from noon to
3:00 p.m. at the Melrose Rod and Gun Club. Family and friends are invited to gather
together to remember Steven, share stories, and celebrate the life he lived.
Steven will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of
knowing him.
