A suspect has been arrested in a recent theft spree. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department says 44 year-old Edward C. Decorah, of Neillsville, is suspected of stealing a trailer containing an ATV and thousands of dollars of property from a Town of Adams residence back in April. Sheriff Duane Waldera noted a string of other vehicle trailer thefts near the Merrillan and Alma Center areas in the weeks following. Decorah was located in a local residence along with stolen property from surrounding counties. The Sheriff has referred a number of large theft cases to the Jackson County DA for felony and misdemeanor charges, though noted his department is still investigating all cases.
