The Tomah Health Community Foundation is supporting a project to enhance care for children with special needs.
Members of the foundation donated fifteen hundred dollars to Kids and Company Daycare of Tomah on Thursday.
The donation will be used to purchase adaptive equipment for the daycare’s playground and special needs programming for their classrooms at five hundred East Veterans Street in Tomah.
Foundation president Brian Eirschele (er-shlee) said the donation validates the foundation’s mission to support organizations that help children and families through health and wellness programs.
Foundation donations are made possible thanks to investments and community fundraisers, including its recent annual golf outing held in August.
Daycare officials have raised about half of the seventy-five hundred dollars needed for the project which they hope will begin before winter and wrap up next spring.
