Classes are forming for the Strong Bodies programs in Dorchester. Classes will be held at the Memorial Hall located at 175 N 2nd St Dorchester, WI. These classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00-12:00 PM beginning February 4th. This class will be 10 weeks long with the exception that there will be no classes February 13th. The suggested contribution is $20.00, which is used to expand and fund the program to all locations across Clark County.

Strong Bodies is an evidence-based, progressive strength-training program throughout the United States. Its goal is to improve the health and well-being of middle-aged and older adults by increasing access to structured, safe and effective strength training programs. Scientific research has demonstrated that exercise with weights will increase strength, muscle mass, and bone density in middle-aged and older adults. This will in turn, reduce the risk for numerous chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and arthritis. To register, please contact UW-Extension office at 715-743-5121
