The Wisconsin National Guard will hold a sendoff ceremony at noon on May 31 at the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh for more than 600 Soldiers preparing for deployment. The ceremony will include Guard senior leadership, along with the families and friends of the deploying troops.

The Soldiers, from the 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry Regiment and Gulf Company, 132nd Brigade Support Battalion, will head to pre-mobilization training before deploying to the U.S. Central Command region. There, they will support NATO partners in efforts to maintain regional security and stability.

The Wisconsin National Guard includes over 9,000 Soldiers and Airmen who serve both federal missions abroad and emergency response needs at home.
