Area beef producers can learn the latest on pasture management and herd health at a field day in Trempealeau County Monday evening, August 24th. Solhjem Farms, in Arcadia, will host the two-hour evening program featuring regional University Extension specialists. Topics include rotational grazing, weed control, heifer selection traits, and updates on fly and Asian Longhorned Tick control. The Beef Cow-Calf Field Day event runs from 6:00 to 8:00 and is free to attend. Buffalo- Trempealeau-Jackson Counties’ Regional Crops Educator, Grace Finnerty, asks that participants pre-register by August 19th.
