If you are looking to protect your money and personal information from scammers, a local workshop coming up next week can help.  Waumandee State Bank and the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce are hosting a free Fraud and Identity Theft Prevention Seminar this next Friday (8/21). Organizers say fraud and identity theft can target anyone, but knowing the warning signs can make all the difference. Attendees will learn about common scams, what steps to take if targeted, and local resources available to help protect your accounts. The seminar begins at 1:00 Friday afternoon from the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Center, on North Water Street in Black River Falls. The event is open to anyone looking to protect themselves, family members, or co-workers.
