Patricia Gilpin

Patricia Mae Gilpin, 69, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away May 15, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health
System in Eau Claire.
Patricia was born June 7, 1953 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin to Orlin and Mavis (Olstad) Halverson. She
attended and graduated from Black River Falls High School. Patricia married Patrick Gilpin on January 6,
1973, with whom she had three children, Emily, Jeremy, and Bradley.
Patricia worked at Northern Engraving for many years. She loved to tell stories, go to garage sales, take
her children swimming, and decorate for the holidays. Patricia was always very kind and considerate of
others. Patricia’s nieces and nephews commented that Patricia was their favorite aunt and loved her
laugh. Patricia loved to put together parties and gatherings for her friends and family. She enjoyed being
a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and spending time with her dogs and cats.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Emily Jaquish; son, Jeremy Gilpin; sister, Judy (Nathan) Goplin;
uncle, Harlan Olstad; and grandchildren Samantha Swenson, Emilia Jaquish, Austin O’Brien, Levi Gilpin,
Landen Gilpin; and two great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Patrick; son Bradley Gilpin; and son-in-law James
Jaquish.
Funeral services for Patricia Gilpin will be held Saturday, May 20th, 2023, at 11am at the Taylor Lutheran
Church in Taylor, Wisconsin with Pastor Natalie Leske officiating. Friends are invited to visitation from
10am until the beginning of services. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
